Privacy Policy

Your search data belongs to you. This page says what we collect, why, who touches it, and how you delete it.

Last updated: September 19, 2026

The short version

  • We read your Google Search Console data. We can never change anything in your Google account.
  • We use that data for one thing: to show it back to you inside GreaterSearchConsole.
  • We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use it to train AI models.
  • You can disconnect Google or delete your data at any time.

Who we are

GreaterSearchConsole (“we”, “us”) runs the website www.greatersearchconsole.com and the app behind it. We are not affiliated with Google LLC. For any privacy question, write to support@greatersearchconsole.com.

What we collect

  • Your Google account email. You sign in with Google. We store your email address to identify your account. We never see your Google password.
  • Google Search Console data. With your permission we read the list of your Search Console properties and their search performance data: queries, pages, countries, devices, clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position. Access is read-only (Google scope webmasters.readonly).
  • Google access tokens. Google gives us tokens so we can keep your data up to date in the background. We store them encrypted (AES-256-GCM) on our server. They never reach your browser.
  • What you set up in the app. The queries you track, the locations you pick, and the search result pages (SERPs) we collect for those queries.
  • Billing details. Payments are handled by Stripe. We store your plan and subscription status. We never see or store your card number.
  • Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you enter.
  • Technical data. Our servers log IP addresses and request times for a short period to keep the service secure and to stop abuse.

How we use Google user data

We use the data we receive from Google only to provide the features you see in the app:

  • to show your search performance without sampling or row limits,
  • to keep your history beyond the 16 months Google keeps,
  • to let you pick queries to track, and to show how their search results change.

GreaterSearchConsole's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In plain words, that means:

  • We do not sell Google user data.
  • We do not use it for advertising, retargeting or credit decisions.
  • We do not use it to build or train general AI or machine-learning models.
  • Our staff do not read your data, unless you ask us for support and agree, or it is needed for security or to comply with the law.

Who we share data with

We share data only with the companies that help us run the service:

  • DataForSEO collects search result pages for us. When you track a query or ask for its SERP, we send the query text and the location you chose. We do not send your name, your email, your site, or your clicks and impressions.
  • Stripe processes payments.
  • Cloudflare serves the website, protects it from abuse, and runs the human check on the waitlist form (Turnstile).
  • Cloudways hosts the server and the database where your data is stored.
  • Google signs you in and provides your Search Console data.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or if the business is sold or merged. In that case this policy continues to protect your data, and we will tell you first.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie, bettergsc_session, to keep you signed in. Your browser cannot read it with scripts (HttpOnly). We use no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics trackers.

How long we keep data

  • Keeping your history is the product, so we keep your synced data for as long as your account is open.
  • When you remove a property in the app, we delete the data we synced for it.
  • When you disconnect Google, we delete your Google tokens.
  • When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and its data within 30 days. Some records, such as invoices, are kept as long as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

  • Disconnect Google or remove a property on the app's connection page.
  • Revoke our access at any time in your Google account: myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • Get a copy, fix, or delete your data: write to support@greatersearchconsole.com. We answer within 30 days.
  • Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have extra rights, such as objecting to processing or complaining to your data protection authority.

Security

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Google tokens are encrypted at rest. Every request for data is checked against your account, so one user can never read another user's data. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on standard safeguards for those transfers.

Children

GreaterSearchConsole is a business tool. It is not meant for anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
